Zilpha Janet Judy

     Zilpha Janet Judy, widely known as Jan Judy, died the morning of June 23, 2022. Jan leaves one sister, (Dorthy Elaine Latimer) three sons and their wives (Raford and Anna Judy, Richard Judy and Mary Kaes and Donald and Susan Judy), six grandchildren, (Douglas Judy, Carol Zeola, Christopher Erter, Katherine Bishop, Mathew Erter, Robert Judy), and ten great grandchildren.

     Jan was born in Douglas, Arizona and, eventually, landed in El Frida where she graduated from Valley High School.  She married Ed Judy and they moved to Ohio where she raised her three boys, worked as a farmer, a school bus driver, and a rural route carrier. Jan attended Northside Baptist Church for many years.

     Jan loved family and, after retiring from the U.S. Postal Service, she moved to Hawaii to be with her mother, two sisters and stepfather. She attended Grace Baptist Church where she had many friends who called her “Auntie Jan”. Jan returned to Ohio in her waning years to be near her boys, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 2-4 pm. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
