Neil H. Emert

Neil H. Emert, 78, of New Carlisle, passed away July 6, 2020 at Troy Healthcare and Rehab. He was born December 29, 1941 in Dayton, son of the late Russell and Ida Mae (Baichly) Emert. Neil was raised in the protestant faith and converted to Catholicism in order to marry his beloved wife at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved bowling. He was employed by the Dayton Board of Education for over 30 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Judith (Timar) Emert; daughter, Kathy Emert; sister, Judith Chapman; niece, Amy Hartman; and great-nephew, Aaron Kelley. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 14 in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Pam Gaylor officiating.
