Viola “June” Baugh, 82, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Villa Springfield. She was born November 29, 1935 in Ross County, Ohio, the daughter of Nathan Clarence and Viola Gladys (Martin) Durrant. Mrs. Baugh was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano, and she loved her dogs. Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Ron) Murray and Kathy (Martin) Compton, all of Springfield; four grandchildren, Joy (James) Walker, Jill Wombles, Jeffrey Baugh, and M. Samuel Compton; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Emory Elvin “Joe” (Susan) Durrant of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Albert Baugh on August 26, 2018; four siblings, Wilfred Eugene “Gene” Durrant, Dorothy Lee “Dottie” Lindsey, Clarence “Marvin” Durrant, Richard Delmer “Dick” Durrant; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bud Rose officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
