Saundra Rose Hayner, 74, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of Bernard and Helen (Enchef) McClanahan. Saundra was retired from the Mueller Center. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved animals. Survivors include three sons, Joseph Lewis, Jesse Sowers, both of Springfield, and Ralph (Kelly) Sowers of S. Charleston; three step-children, Susan Sowers, Perry Sowers, and Richard Hayner, all of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Kjersty, Kailey, Casey, Cameron, Samantha, and Jamie; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Silver and Christopher McClanahan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jesse E. Sowers and Carl Hayner; step-son, Gary Sowers; sister, Berna Turner; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
