John R. Sherrick II

John R. Sherrick II, 77, of Springfield, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at OSU Wexner Medical Center. He was born January 2, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Dorothy Sherrick. John was retired from Dixie Distributing. He loved antique cars and had been a member of the Antique Car Club. Survivors include his longtime companion, Annette Adkins; two children, Penny Swackhamer and John (Tomika) Sherrick III; three grandchildren, Garret, Courtney, and Alexis; siblings, Patty Curtis and Randy Stewart; extended family, Mary Ann (Robert) Bowser, Tommy (Theresa) Adkins, Billy (Teresa) Suver, Katelynn and Jonathan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Charlie Sherrick and Norma Jean Byus, and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
