Harold E. Miller Jr., 90, of Springfield, went home to be with his Lord January 7, 2020. He was born September 28, 1929 in Springfield, the son of Harold E. and Mildred (Knotts) Miller Sr. Mr. Miller was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God where he served as an Elder for many years. He was also a member of the Alpha Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the York Rite. Harold was well known as the owner of Dad’s Hamburger. He had also been a partner in several other businesses in the area. He served on the Springfield City Planning Commission for several years and was the President of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s organization for many years. He was a retired tool and die maker. Harold was a Veteran of the Unites States Navy Reserves. Survivors include his loving wife; Nancy (Coleman) Miller, four children; Harold E. “Butch” (Cindy) Miller III, Doris (Rev. Barney) Riffle, Springfield, Rev. David (Sandy) Miller, South Vienna and Loni Sue Miller, Springfield, three step children: Jason (Grace Elizabeth) Gibbs, Florida, Nancy (Dwight) Davis and Cindy Diaz, Georgia, sixteen grandchildren, five step grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sister-in-law; Mary Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Thelma Jean Miller, a son; Steve Miller, two brothers; Jim Miller and Bill Miller, two sisters; Edna Whaley and Doris Miller and his parents. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 12:00Noon Monday in the First Pentecostal Church of God followed by funeral services at 12:00Noon with Rev. David Miller and Rev. Barney Riffle officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME
